Job Description

  • Melts and applies solder along adjoining edges of workpieces to solder joints, using the soldering iron, gas torch, and other electric equipment.
  • Follow the instruction, wiring diagrams, drawings, and schematics to ensure that all systems are installed correctly.
  • Set up and run initial tests on new electronic systems or equipment. This includes creating prototypes, identifying and avoiding potential issues, and calibrating equipment as needed.
  • Complete paperwork and reports that outline tests run, parts used, repairs completed, and troubleshooting steps followed. They will regularly update manuals for electronic equipment and maintain parts inventory reports.
  • Update Software and Run Tests on Existing Equipment and device.
  • Grinds, cuts, buffs, or bends edges of workpieces to be joined to ensure snug fit, using power grinder and hand tools.
  • Communicating and submitting various reports to speaking with engineers, project managers, programmers, and other technicians.


  • Solid knowledge in electronic fundamental.
  • Basic programming is essential.
  • Familiarity with PCB design software, preferably KiCad and Eagle.
  • Familiarity with Surface-mount technology such as packages codification (DIP, SOIC, BGA, LGA, etc.), assembly technique (hand-solder using soldering iron and hot air gas, and reflow/wave oven).
  • Proficient eye-hand coordination in order to install to repair and install components properly.
  • Must have the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with computer documenting programs such as excel and word.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
