DycodeX and SMARTernak Featured on the GSMA

Back then we registered to be The GSM Association (GSMA) partner, with our IoT use case: SMARTernak. GSMA is an industry organization that represents the interests of mobile network operators worldwide. More than 750 mobile operators are full GSMA members and a further 400 companies in the broader mobile ecosystem are associate members, and SMARTernak is one of among use case which also uses the mobile network technology, NB-IoT.

Then, last September, we got the invitation to join the GSMA Event. We are honored to be the only startup from Indonesia exhibiting in the prestigious APAC IoT Innovation Expo, in Kuala Lumpur 24-26 September 2019.

Bandung IoT Maker Day 2020

After all these years, Makestro came up to the surface and held an event for Makers (Hardware Designer and Engineer, Firmware and Software Developer, etc.) with the title “Bandung IoT Maker Day 2020” This event was powered by DTDS Singapore, as one of biggest distributor electronics components. They want to bring their brand to Indonesia as one stop components supplier and consultant. They also have a lot of product franchises consisting of ; Renesas, Intersil, MPS, Semtech, Liteon, Omnivision, Shindengen, Netvox and many more. But only Renesas, MPS and Semtech who sent their representatives to introduce their product here.

Makestro was trusted as the organizer of this event. Makestro is a community that provides the hardware and learning tools required for Makers of all levels of expertise to start making. As the host from Bandung, DycodeX also contributed at this event and shared about Smart Agricultural. SMARTernak also brought to the exhibition along aside with the products from DTDS. At break time, all participants were welcome to visit the exhibition.

The enthusiasm from all participants was quite big. Since the gate opens for registration, they already queue in line. Event was start at 9.00 AM and ended at 5.00 PM, until the end of the event, there’s still a lot of participants who stayed longer to talk and discuss with the speakers about their current project, obstacles, and their needs. Based on the purpose of this event, from A to Z on designing and developing IoT devices, the main topics at this seminar are regarding about IoT with Smart Community, IoT Monitoring Sensor, Power Up your IoT Device and Power Management for Industrial IoT.

Initial Deployment SMARTernak in Cianjur, Jawa Barat

Close the decade with the bang.

Finally, we have just successfully deployed SMARTernak at Balai Perbibitan dan Pengembangan Inseminasi Buatan Ternak Sapi Perah* (BPPIBTSP) of West Java government. It’s part of the Digital Village program, which we’re appointed as an official partner for the livestock sector.

The initiative has started since early 2019, and we’re very thankful to all stakeholders that make all possible: West Java government, especially Food and Livestock agency, and our connectivity partner, XL Axiata – Business Solution. For this deployment, we leverage NB-IoT connectivity – provided by XL – for longer battery life.

It’s just an initial deployment, which the massive deployment will begin early 2020. Wish us luck so that we can contribute to improving cattle farming and farmers’ prosper.

Expo Peternakan Jawa Barat 2019 dibuka oleh Bupati Indramayu H. Supendi, M.SI

Expo Peternakan Jawa Barat 2019, yang diselenggarakan oleh Dinas Ketahanan Pangan dan Peternakan (DKPP) Jawa Barat, akan dilangsungkan dari 23 Juli 2019 hingga 24 Juli 2019 di Desa Puntang, Kecamatan Losarang, Kabupaten Indramayu.Expo Peternakan yang rutin diadakan setiap tahun ini diharapkan mampu mengembangkan potensi peternakan. 

DycodeX diberikan kesempatan oleh DKPP Jawa Barat untuk berpartisipasi diExpo Peternakan Jawa Barat 2019 dan memberikan informasi serta solusi bagi Peternak melalui produknya yang bernama SMARTernak. 

SMARTernak merupakan salah satu produk DycodeX untuk Precision Livestock Farming (PLF) berbasis Internet of Things (IoT) dan Artificial Intelligence (AI). Dilengkapi dengan konektivitas Low Power Wide Area (LPWA) dengan menggunakan LoRa atau NB-IoT, SMARTernak bisa digunakan oleh Peternak untuk memantau lokasi dan kesehatan ternak secara real time.

Website dan aplikasi ponsel SMARTernak kami rancang untuk bisa memberikan pantauan secara real time. Notifikasi tersebut akan langsung terhubung ke gadget Peternak. Sehingga, bisa membantu Peternak dalam membuat keputusan pengelolaan peternakan.” jelas Andri Yadi selaku  Co-founder dan CEO DycodeX. 

Semenjak peluncuran perdananya, SMARTernak mengalami peningkatan performa teknologi dan solusi. 

“Jika sudah menggunakan SMARTernak, Peternak akan lebih mudah untuk memantau kegiatan ternak, berat ternak, hingga kondisi kesehatan ternak. Ketika ternak sudah mencapai berat yang sudah ditentukan oleh Peternak melalui dashboard, maka SMARTernak akan menginformasikan kepada Peternak. Dycodex Pamerkan Produk di Indonesia Industrial Summit 2019

DycodeX kembali berkesempatan untuk mengenalkan kepada masyarakat mengenai berbagai produk berbasis Internet of Things (IoT) dalam acara Indonesia Industrial Summit (IIS) 2019 yang digelar oleh Kementerian Perindustrian pada tanggal 15-16 April 2019 di ICE BSD, Tangerang, Banten. Acara ini sendiri bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran mengenai perjalanan peta jalan “Making Indonesia 4.0” selama satu tahun belakangan ini. Pada tahun ini tema acara yang diusung Kemenperin adalah “Implementasi Making Indonesia 4.0 Menuju Negara 10 Besar Ekonomi Dunia”. Pameran ini sekaligus sebagai ajang kesiapan perusahaan dan industri dalam menyambut Industri 4.0.

Pada pameran kali ini DycodeX memamerkan beberapa produk unggulan seperti SMARTernak, Smarterbike, Alora, DytraX, dan juga ESPectro32 v2. Tak hanya untuk memamerkan produk-produk unggulan kami, namun DycodeX juga membantu menyediakan teknologi Artificial Intelligence (AI) untuk produk Batik Analyzer yang digagas bersama DyCode, Balai Besar Kerajinan Batik (BBKB) dan Kementerian Perindustrian.

Jogjakarta, 15 Februari 2019 — DycodeX bertemu dengan Balai Besar Kerajinan dan Batik (BBKB) Jogjakarta. Diselenggarakan di kantor BBKB di Jl. Kusumanegara No.7, Semaki, Umbulharjo, Kota Yogyakarta, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta, pertemuan ini membahas kerjasama DycodeX dengan BBKB dalam pengembangan aplikasi analisis batik dengan menggunakan teknologi berbasis AI.

Andri Yadi, CEO DycodeX, mengaku bangga telah dipercaya BBKB untuk membuat aplikasi dalam negeri yang mampu memajukan industri kerajinan tradisional batik. “Sebagai salah satu perusahaan pengembang teknologi dalam negeri, terpilihnya DycodeX oleh BBKB untuk mengembangkan aplikasi ini tentunya menjadi sebuah kehormatan karena kami membantu melestarikan budaya Indonesia di era Industri 4.0.”

Dikembangkan dengan teknologi Artificial Intelligence (AI), aplikasi analisis batik ini bertujuan untuk secara otomatis membedakan mana batik yang dibuat secara tradisional oleh pengrajin atau dicetak secara modern di pabrik. Dikembangkan untuk smartphone, pengguna dapat menggunakan kamera ponselnya dan mengambil foto sebuah kain batik untuk mengetahui apakah batik tersebut dibuat atau dicetak.

Untuk mendapatkan hasil yang paling akurat, aplikasi analisis batik dibekali dengan sistem deep learning yang mempelajari pola batik dari sampel. Menggunakan library open source TensorFlow, sampel yang digunakan adalah 1000 kain batik yang difoto secara manual oleh BBKB Jogjakarta.

“Batik sebagai warisan budaya khas Indonesia wajib dilestarikan dan menggunakan teknologi adalah langkah yang tepat,” Andri Yadi menambahkan. “Aplikasi analisis batik yang kami kembangkan bekerjasama dengan BBKB dan Kemenperin ini diharapkan dapat menempatkan batik di posisi yang relevan, terutama di Industri 4.0,” tutupnya.

DycodeX Kembangkan Teknologi Bike Sharing End-to-End untuk Startup Kayuh Asal Bogor

Bandung, Jawa Barat — DycodeX sukses kembangkan teknologi end-to-end untuk Kayuh, sistem bike sharing yang diluncurkan di Bogor oleh Wali Kota Bogor, Dr. Bima Arya Sugiarto, pada Rabu, 7 November 2018. Kayuh adalah sistem bike sharing yang menggunakan sepeda berbahan dasar limbah kayu pertama di Indonesia.

Sistem bike sharing yang diaplikasikan pada Kayuh adalah pengembangan dari teknologi Smarterbike oleh DycodeX. Smarterbike adalah sistem manajemen armada (fleet management system) end-to-end untuk sepeda yang mengintegrasikan hardware dan software demi pengalaman bike sharing yang aman dan nyaman bagi pengguna.

Untuk Kayuh, DycodeX mengembangkan fitur-fitur bike sharing end-to-end yang meliputi

  1. sistem Smart Lock yang hanya dapat dibuka oleh pengguna tertentu dengan memindai kode QR menggunakan aplikasi Kayuh,
  2. layar LED untuk umpan balik langsung secara visual bagi pengguna,
  3. konektivitas GSM agar senantiasa terhubung dengan Internet,
  4. akselerometer untuk mendeteksi kejadian seperti kecelakaan atau apabila perangkat dicabut secara paksa, dan
  5. panel surya sebagai sumber daya untuk mendukung baterai.

Hardware Kayuh terintegrasi dengan aplikasi untuk Android (versi iOS akan menyusul) yang dapat dipergunakan pengguna untuk memindai kode QR dan membuka kunci sepeda secara cerdas. Pengguna diwajibkan mendaftar akun terlebih dahulu secara gratis di aplikasi Kayuh. Dengan aplikasi Kayuh, pengguna dapat melihat histori penggunaan sepeda yang dipersonalisasi, seperti jarak tempuh, waktu kendara, serta biaya sewa yang dibebankan.

DycodeX Powers JogjaBike’s End-to-End Bike Sharing Technology

DycodeX is proud to be the end-to-end technology developer for JogjaBike, Jogjakarta’s first ever bike sharing service. Launched at Jalan Malioboro on Saturday (27/10) by the Mayor of Jogjakarta, Haryadi Suyuti, Jogjabike uses an Internet of Things-based system, seamlessly integrating software and hardware to provide a safe and enjoyable bike sharing experience.

To create a safe, fun experience for JogjaBike bike sharing users, DycodeX has developed a system that seamlessly integrates the hardware and software, all made entirely by a team of Indonesian coders and engineers. Hardware-wise, features include as follows.

  1. A Smart Lock system unlockable via QR code scanning with the mobile app.
  2. An LED display for continuous user feedback along the journey, such as distance travelled and rent time remaining.
  3. Always connected to the Internet via GSM for continuous data feedback.
  4. Automatically detects accidents or tampering via its built-in accelerometer.
  5. Solar panel-equipped for longer battery life.

DycodeX also developed in-house mobile app available for Android (iOS version coming soon). The app allows users to easily unlock their preferred bike with a QR code scanner as well as keeping track of bike sharing usage.

The conception of JogjaBike is aimed to add value to the local tourism industry, as well as to bring the concept of smart city to life. Collaborating with the City Government of Jogjakarta, the service was launched for the “Jogja Ada Sepeda” programme. The Malioboro implementation is only the first phase, with other areas to be added in forthcoming phases.

DycodeX Trials NB-IoT Technology for Bike Tracking in Monas

Jakarta, 9 October 2018 — DycodeX has collaborated with one of Indonesia’s largest telcos to trial bike tracking and sharing using NB-IoT technology. The trial was conducted at Monumen Nasional (Monas), Central Jakarta on October 9, 2018. This field trial is an effort by DycodeX to integrate NB-IoT connectivity in asset-tracking use case.

As the pioneer of IoT development in Indonesia, DycodeX strives to adopt new connectivity technology to our projects and products, including NB-IoT. It offers a wide range of advantages compared to its LPWA counterparts, such as lower power consumption, lower cost, wider range, and higher reliability. One of DycodeX’s flagship NB-IoT products is DytraX, a general-purpose tracker board applicable for various use cases. DytraX is Indonesia’s first locally developed, third-party tracker board using NB-IoT technology.

DycodeX Claims First Successful NB-IoT Field Trial in Indonesia with SMARTernak

Majalengka, 9 October 2018 — DycodeX marks a milestone in the local IoT industry as the first company to conduct Indonesia’s first NB-IoT field trial. The field trial utilizes the newest version of the DycodeX-developed, IoT- and AI-based Precision Livestock Farming solution, SMARTernak, which uses NB-IoT technology.

DycodeX, along with XL Axiata, conducted the trial in PT. Sumber Hijau Mandiri cattle farm in Majalengka, West Java.

NB-IoT, or Narrowband IoT, is the latest radio technology that allows machine-to-machine communication in a wide, massive area without compromising on power and cost. The technology, which is based on LPWA (Low Power, Wide Area) network allows for a more efficient and effective means in developing IoT-based devices and applications.

Alwin Arrasyid, IoT Engineer at DycodeX, comments on the success of the NB-IoT field trial. “We are proud to finally be the first Indonesian company to test NB-IoT technology in the field, and not in labs,” he remarked. “I hope in the future, NB-IoT coverage will be available in more and more areas in Indonesia. Hopefully this will lead to a significant decrease in the cost of modules and general development.”

DycodeX has previously conducted four field tests with SMARTernak in various farms in Indonesia, including in Padang Mengatas, West Sumatera as well as in Subang and Bogor, West Java. The aims for the field tests were twofold: to train SMARTernak Artificial Intelligence by feeding it real knowledge about cattle farming, as well as to receive feedbacks from cattle farmers.

Coinciding with XL Axiata 22nd anniversary, DycodeX appreciates XL Axiata for their continuous support to the development of the local IoT industry by providing the infrastructure for NB-IoT that can be used by IoT practitioners in Indonesia.
